Look. Gaze. Really, for an entire minute. Or more.

Now closer.

What do you see?

Here is what has been creating itself inside of me in response.

Death Dance

Your brilliant color

dazzles and blinds

as you pass by.

Your body swaying

this way and that

carried on the unseen current.

Such grace that holds you

Arms open toward the sky

Head back in wild freedom.

Your dancing form

holding firm

as you twirl around.

Dance your last

dance away

and be released.

Let go of all

that brings you here,

even breath

and blood

and breeze.
